Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions regarding your iKasu product, click on the image below to enter our support forum. There you post a question for the attention of the Fascin8 Support Team. You can also check the forum for other similar questions.

  • When I open Blaze it keeps coming up with an error and won't open, what can I do?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling both the software and drivers, also make sure your PC is running on a USB 2.0 port as inferior ports are not sufficient for this device.

  • When I'm watching a TV program it keeps freezing and going quiet, why is this?

This is simply a drop of signal for the Freeview input, this usually a temporary drop in signal through your antenna. It may be worth checking the strength of the signal in your area by visiting www.freeview.co.uk. Alternatively you can consult an antenna engineer who would be able to check the antenna that you are using in your home, and offer an upgrade service if necessary.

  • When I attempt to record using Blaze, i get a message stating that I don't have enough space, what can I do?

Make sure that you have enough space allocated in the DTV settings for buffer size (see User Manual section 4, page 19). If you have reached the maximum buffer size, the software will not be able to record anymore.

  • What channels should I receive using the iKasu USB Freeview Receiver?

The channel list for Freeview in the UK is often changing, so it is worth checking the Freeview website at www.freeview.co.uk. There you can check which TV & Radio channels are availabe in your region. If you are not receiving certain channels, it may be worth checking the strength of the antenna that you are using to connect to the device.

  • I don't seem to receive any channels using the portable antenna?
Freeview signals are sometimes difficult to receive using the portable antenna provided. This can be caused by many contributing factors, but the most important consideration is the signal strength and quality in your particular area. We recommend that you always use a permanent antenna from the roof of your home when you first search for channels on your iKasu USB Freeview TV Reveiver
