Frequently Asked Questions

  • Some of the music on my MP3/MP4 player will not play when I try to play it on the DVD player, what is the problem?
If the tracks on the MP3/MP4 player will not play on the DVD player, check first that they play on the MP3/MP4 player. If they don’t, it’s more than likely the music has a copy protection (DRM) issue. This is normally an application that is put on the music file when it is ripped to the computer. If this is the case, put the music back onto your computer, but select ‘No’ when it prompts for Copy Protection.
  • Why will the video on my MP4 player not play on the DVD player?
It may be that the format of the video is not supported by the DVD player. It will only play videos in MPEG format.
Is this unit locked to a particular region?
  • When you receive your DVD player it is locked to Region 2 (UK & Europe). If you would like to unlock the DVD player so that it becomes multi-regional perform the following steps:
    1. With the DVD player turned on, press the 'Setup' button on your remote control, to enter the system menu.
    2. Press the right arrow button on your remote control until you have the 'Password Setup Page' displayed.
    3. Then press '8888' using your remote control. This will subsequently display a 'Region Code' screen.
    4. Using the up and down arrows on your remote control you can specify the region you require. To enable multi-regional play we recommend setting the unit to: Region Code 0.
    5. Press the 'Enter' button on your remote control to confirm.
